Are you looking for tasty and nutritious treats to make this summer? Then this cooking class is for you! In the comfort of your own home, you will learn to make simple and yummy summertime treats. No stove or oven required! During each class we will prepare and taste test our summertime treat! We will end class each day with a healthy discussion about the health benefits of each ingredient, and why healthy foods are important. I can’t wait to create these tasty and healthy treats with you! 


Summertime Treats Menu:

Monday- Apple Donuts & Chocolate Covered Fruit

Tuesday-  Overnight Oats & Chia Seed Pudding 

Wednesday- “No-Bake” Energy Bites & Granola Bars

Thursday- “No Bake” Cheerio Cereal Bars 

Friday- Guacamole & Salsa 

*I will be using nuts as toppings and peanut butter for the “bases” of the recipes. Please substitute peanut butter with sunflower butter if your child has a nut allergy. Materials list will be shared upon enrollment. To be acquired by the family.


Grades: Rising 1st and 2nd grades

Date:     Week of July 27

Time:     12 p.m. to 12:55 p.m.

During this class we will be learning how to make simple, fun, yummy treats. Learn how to make easy snacks that you can take on the go , eat in the mornings or nibble on at night. Each recipe will require 2 - 5 ingredients depending on what we are making. 

Some examples are:

Creamy Parfaits (yogurt, fruit, granola)

Delicious Chocolate covered pretzels (chocolate and pretzels)

Cold Ice Cream sandwiches (graham crackers and ice cream)

Crunchy trail mix (pretzels, Cheerios, plain/chocolate/yogurt covered raisins, marshmallows, M&M’s or chocolate chips)

Materials list will be shared upon enrollment. To be acquired by the family. *Parental supervision when using stove and oven.

Do you like to whip up exciting little treats and snacks? Join us each week to share a fabulous picture book followed by a no-bake cooking lesson. Campers will enjoy learning how to read recipes, follow directions, and best of all... sample their hard work.  Ingredients and supply lists will be provided prior to camp and the use of a microwave may be involved. Materials list will be shared upon enrollment. To be acquired by the family.


Grades:  Rising 3rd, 4th, 5th grades
